 The Research Center Silvia Santagata organizes the First Lecture Series on "New frontiers in Cultural Economics" that will be held from next September. Distinguished scholars in cultural economics will present their works in Turin. 

David Throsby, (Macquarie University, Australia) and Christian Barrère (University of Reims, France) are the first two guest lecturers.

Report on the economic and cultural impact of the brand "World Heritage of UNESCO" PDF Print E-mail

The aim of the research is to study the economic and cultural impact of the brand "World Heritage of UNESCO.  The research is conducted by CSS-Ebla in collaboration with Ebla Centre on behalf of the italian Ministry of Cultural heritage and activities and the Department of Economics "Cognetti de Martiis".

Following a preliminary analysis on the theory of collective marks, a survey on the value of the Unesco World Heritage Brand will be carried out, using as case studies Val d'Orcia-Pienza, Val di Noto and Savoy Residences in Piedmont.

A model for local development based on creativity : the case of Piedmont PDF Print E-mail

The study, in collaboration with the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Turin and on behalf of the CRT Foundation, analyses the creative sectors and the cultural industries in Piedmont in order to define a new international model for local development.  The research team will develop the survey by identifying strengths and weaknesses of Piedmont region in the field of creative cities and territories, material culture, food, design, content industries and of historic and artistic heritage.
